We've reached Thursday, yet again!
Crazy how the week flies when the days go by so slow.
I recently bought a new red lipstick and thought that in honor of Valentine's Day, I'd show you guys how to get the perfect red lip!
I know that Valentine's Day isn't a Jewish holiday, and some people don't want to celebrate it which is fine.
But I think that there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of this day that's dedicated to love and spend it with someone special! Of course, we should make sure to do this all the time, but I say let's take advantage and have fun as long as it's done in a modest and appropriate way.
Tee and I will be spending it with our entire senior class, which is pretty awesome.
I also want to talk about one more thing before I go lol so bare with me guys!
I know that for us single ladies, this time of year can be quite hard. It's hard to not wish for the cheesy Valentine's day cards and chocolates when you pass by them at the drugstore. It's hard to hear your friends talk about their romantic plans and not be able to add your plans to the conversation. It's just hard, being alone sometimes.
But whenever I think these things, I try to remind myself that:
1. I should embrace my single life and really get to know me before I try to get to know someone else.
***sidenote: If Valentine's day is meant to be a day spent with someone special... why not spend it with YOU? Take a day to pamper yourself! Buy yourself some chocolates, take a bubble bath, and paint your nails!
2. Everything happens in the right time, so clearly right now is not the right time.
3. I'm not alone. Even when I feel like it. One of the biggest fears found in the human race is the fear of being alone. When we're single, this fear is extremely eminent. So I try to remind myself that so many other people feel the way I do, and cheesy as it sounds, we're all in this together.
As Beyoncé once said, "All the single ladies, all the single ladies.. PUT YOUR HANDS UP"
Okay, okay, I'll go now!
XOXO, Z
Btw I'm going to Israel this Sunday so get excited for some travel posts!!
